Here is a letter I wrote to The Assistant Student Minister to The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, Brother Ishmael Muhammad back in 2018.

As-Salaam Alaikum Brother Minister Ishmael

I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirit enjoying the many blessings of Allah, I wanted to first say to you my name is brother Darrell Muhammad I'm the student recorder for Harrisburg study group number 94, I also wanted to say how very proud I am to be your brother and comrade in arms (in the teachings) and wanted to say that you are doing a wonderful job in representing our Apostle The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, thank you for your service, your dedication and hard work for the Apostle and our Nation is appreciated. I'm writing you because I've had a thought on one of the sayings of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad to The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and I wanted to share & offer it to you, to see if you would be able to find a connection to it, or be able to expand it, or add on to it, or give some feedback. The saying I'm referring to is when The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan “brother when you find out who you are, you’ll have to struggle to hold yourself down”. In that statement as I was with another brother picking up the final call newspapers, we were discussing the teachings as we do on field trips or road trips and it came to me that perhaps, The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad was giving The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan a hint or a sign, in terms of his departure. “When you find out who you are”, when The Minister comes into the understanding of who he is and who Allah made him to be, He “would have to struggle to hold himself down” so when he finds out who he is, the holding down possibly could refer to his being called back to The Wheel & The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Perhaps meaning that The Minister will want to stay among his family & the believers and work with us more but it's a struggle because he's being pulled on, like the beam of light or tractor beam (yes, I love Sy-Fy smile) from The Wheel pulled him away from the believers in his more than a vision experience. Like The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, when some begin to creep up on his identity, it would be time for him to go, due to us not responding correctly to the man. We could offend him & be worthy of death as with Master Fard Muhammad and The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad before him. This is what I wanted to offer & share with you to see what you may find in that statement, if you haven’t already. Thank you for reading these words,

As-Salaam Alaikum

Brother Darrell Muhammad
